From the Powerlink Team

Welcome to the October edition of Powerlink’s Monthly Newsletter (oops, we missed September).

In this issue (click on link below to auto scroll):

  • Andrew Hill on Powerlink’s transformation into a Community Hub

  • Two upcoming events on Loft1020. One's scary and the others about music.

  • Why now is the perfect time to book your holiday gathering at Loft 1020

  • A member spotlight of Chris Herbert of Mi6 and cofounding member of AREA 81

  • How you can join AREA 81, the new regional entrepreneurship accelorator

“All the pieces are starting to come together,” Hill says. “We’re nearly full, the building is buzzing, and people finally see the vision—Powerlink isn’t just office space. It’s a platform for connection, creativity, and growth.”

Community Member Spotlight: Mi6

ree

Chris Herbert is a seasoned entrepreneur, strategist, and content creator with a proven track record of empowering businesses to achieve growth and success.

A former co-founder of Silicon Halton, Chris built a thriving 1,500-member tech community with hundreds of events before selling his interest in 2024 to focus on launching Mi6’s One2One service and AREA 81, a rural entrepreneurship accelerator program, now operating out of Powerlink.

Why he chose Powerlink: flexible work environment, professional work atmosphere, business address and credibility, community.

“The internet is reliable, it’s fast, it’s always on. … The team here are just so helpful … the coworking space and the building runs like a top.” — Chris Herbert

We’re proud to Mi6 and AREA 81 as part of the Powerlink community!
