Loft Ten Twenty In Port Elgin is Starting to Feel Different
A Conversation with Andrew Hill
Where many saw a stunning top-floor venue, Andrew Hill and the Powerlink team see something more — a community canvas.
From concerts and socials to coworking and creative rehearsals, the space is becoming a platform for connection, collaboration, and new ideas. It's your place to celebrate.
“We’re experimenting. Loft Ten Twenty isn’t just a place for meetings or events. It’s a place for people to connect, create, and share experiences that bring the community together.”
Loft Ten Twenty: A Stage for the Community
Over the past few months, Powerlink and AREA 81 have started hosting more events — from networking nights, coworking days, meetups and Rotary fundraisers to live music and community socials.
Each one shows what’s possible when people gather in the Loft.
“We hosted a small concert recently, totally impromptu. A few musicians plugged in, and the acoustics were incredible. It changed how we saw the space — it’s perfect for intimate performances, rehearsals, and creative workshops.”
That success has inspired new ideas: themed cocktail classes, open mic nights, and youth showcases. Hill says the goal is to make it easy for people to bring their own ideas forward.
“We don’t want to own every event,” he says. “We want the community to feel invited to use the space — to make it theirs.”
Coworking for Creators
Even with the rise of events, coworking remains a key part of Powerlink’s vision. Loft Ten Twenty offers flexible desks, private offices, and collaboration zones for professionals, small teams, and entrepreneurs.
But Hill and his team are taking it a step further.
“We’re looking at a ‘Coworking for Creators’ membership,” he says. “It would allow artists or musicians to book the Loft during select evenings to rehearse or test ideas. It’s about blending productivity and creativity under one roof.”
For Hill, it’s another way to make Powerlink relevant to a wider group of people — those who might not need an office every day but still want to be part of an active, inspiring environment.
“We’ve built something special with Loft Ten Twenty, now we’re inviting others to help shape what it becomes.”

Looking Ahead
The next phase for Powerlink isn’t about filling rooms — it’s about opening them up.
